About this dive site

This dive site, known as Bikini Beach, is located just south of the Old Harbour at Gordon's Bay. The name originates from the nearby popular bathing beach. The maximum depth reaches approximately 3 meters. The seabed consists of a sandy bottom sloping steeply in the surf zone, transitioning to a flat area supporting a small reef comprised of scattered, rounded boulders measuring around 300 millimeters in height. A rocky shore extends southward from the beach. Visibility is limited and photography may be challenging, though macro photography offers the best chance for usable results. Marine life includes black mussels, chitons, octopus, small sole, klipfish, and small crabs found on the reef. Otters are occasionally seen playing near the rocks at night. The northern boundary of the site is defined by the harbor breakwater's concrete blocks.
