About this dive site
This dive site centers around Miller's Point, a prominent location marked on maps. The area is historically linked to slipways and possibly named for the sound of the waves against the surrounding boulders. Maximum depth ranges from approximately 6 to 8 meters along the shoreline reefs near the point, extending deeper – up to 15 meters – offshore around 200 meters away, particularly off the tip of the point. The underwater topography is characterized by a relatively shallow rocky reef with granite corestone outcrops and boulders. Swim-throughs and overhangs are abundant under these rocks. About 150 to 200 meters southwest of Miller's Point, towards Boat Rock, lies a cluster of large boulders rising from 15 meters to around 10 meters below the surface. This area features rugged profiles, small caves, and overhangs, supporting a diverse population of fish. Dense kelp forests grow in areas with suitable rocky substrate. Invertebrates are present, primarily those adapted to shallower waters. The site provides an interesting dive experience for those comfortable exploring rocky reefs.
