About this dive site
This dive site, named after the Sunny Cove railway station, is located near this station. The origin of the 'Cove' part of the name is unclear. The maximum depth over the sand is approximately 11 meters. The area features moderate relief sandstone rocks, including ridges and gullies that slope down to the seabed at around 10 meters. Marine life consists primarily of a variety of invertebrates and seaweed species; though not particularly colorful, it's quite diverse. Interestingly, great white sharks have been observed cruising past the site from the shore. Close-up photography is best suited for this dive.
