About this dive site
This dive site presents a unique opportunity to explore a historic wreck. The aircraft, a German Ju-88 bomber, crashed into the sea on February 24, 1943, near Isla del Aire off the coast of Sicily. During World War II, the plane was conducting missions in Algeria before encountering difficulties and making an emergency landing due to low fuel and a navigational error. Remarkably, all four crew members survived. The wreck now rests at a depth of 47 meters, requiring specialized equipment for exploration. Due to the depth and the nature of the site, a Tec certification is recommended for divers. This location holds significant historical interest and offers an intriguing dive experience.
