About this dive site
This dive site, known as The Cathedral, is located within the expansive Cap d'en Font cave and cavern system. It’s the largest of these caves, offering a dramatic entrance measuring approximately 14 meters in height. As you penetrate into the cavern, a sense of darkness prevails before opening up to reveal a significant air chamber filled with stalactites. These stalactites create an extraordinary visual effect—a brilliant blue glow emerges from the entrance, illuminated by external light filtering through the cavern walls. The Cathedral presents an excellent diving experience for those with some prior underwater experience and is particularly well-suited for introductory advanced open water course divers. It’s a rewarding dive even for experienced enthusiasts.
