About this dive site

This dive site has a rich history, originally featuring small boat landings and abundant herring. Today, it offers a pleasant experience with a well-built wooden terrace, a barbecue area, and the opportunity to observe sailboats. To reach the wreck of Betty Blue, a 16-meter long sailboat that sank in 2013 due to being abandoned by the police in Haninge, follow a 13-meter depth contour for approximately 10 minutes. The wreck remains upright, anchored to its line and covered with small blue mussels. This area is known for diverse marine life. Shallow areas near seaweed are teeming with activity during certain seasons, including bluestreamer, eelpout, mussels, whelkfish, seaweed eelgrass, flounders, seabirds such as skarvs, and the occasional flatfish like pigwidgeon and skrubskata. Night dives offer a chance to spot sleeper sharks resting with their eyes open. In autumn, you can witness a vibrant display of sea fleas and shrimp. The maximum depth around this location is approximately 16 meters.
