About this dive site
This dive site features a wreck of a former tugboat, ‘Tyr,’ that was once used for recreational purposes. The boat tragically succumbed to a severe winter storm and subsequently sank under the ice near Ornö, Sweden. Sonar located it in 2001. This wreck, which was previously moored on the surface, rests upright on the seabed approximately 31 meters (102 feet) below the surface, with the seafloor at 34 meters (112 feet). Visibility is typically good during dives. The tugboat’s steering cabin is located at a depth of 31 meters.
