About this dive site

This dive site presents an intriguing exploration opportunity centered around a historic shipwreck. Located in Mysingen, Sweden, the wreck is believed to be Concordia, a Galeas dating back to 1754. The ship sank during a storm, and recent investigations have confirmed this identification. Originally discovered by HMS Koster while searching for a lost torpedo, the site now involves a debate regarding permanent buoy placement – with the municipality installing one while Sjöfartsverket seeks to remove it. The wreck, identified as a typical trading vessel from the mid-1700s, rests on its keel and is heavily damaged, approximately 35 meters below the surface. It measures 17 meters in length and stands 5 meters above the seabed. Divers can expect to find cargo remnants including seeds of various types, barrels, bottles, and pipe stems scattered amongst the wreckage. The depth of approximately 35 meters makes this an intermediate dive.
