About this dive site

This dive site is located in Vadviken, a flat lake with a rich history. Formerly, steamboats brought visitors to spend their summers at lakeside residences. The area offers easy diving suitable for all experience levels. From the beach, divers head right approximately 6-8 meters down to discover the wreck of Bengt's father’s yacht – an elegant mahogany vessel that sank in the 1950s. Surrounding the wreck are remnants from various eras, including a few motorboats and some bicycles. Further out in the shallows lies the remains of an old American automobile. To the right of the main dive area, abundant marine life thrives during summer and autumn. Eels swim upwards towards the surface, while bladderwrack meadows teem with small fish and shellfish. The site is frequently used as a training location for diving courses by local instructors, with lines strategically placed to provide reference points during practice maneuvers.
