About this dive site

This dive site, Fridge Bay in Bodrum, offers two distinct dive experiences. One site, located to the left of the bay, features a gentle, sloping topography suitable for less experienced divers. The other site, situated in the middle of the bay and surrounded by seagrass, is more challenging and reserved for advanced divers due to its greater depth (18-30 meters). Finding this advanced site requires the guidance of an experienced dive leader.

The marine life here is abundant and varied. The cracked rocks and gentle slope create excellent habitats for a wide range of species. Expect to see various fish species, including the dentex (particularly in the afternoon), along with invertebrates inhabiting the rocky crevices and seagrass beds. The exact species will depend on the season and specific location within the bay.

The best time to visit is during the warmer months, from May to October, when the water temperature is most comfortable and visibility is generally good. Divers should be aware of potential depth changes, especially in the advanced dive area, and may encounter moderate currents. Freediving is possible in the shallower areas, but the deeper site is only suitable for experienced freediving individuals. Appropriate safety measures and buddy systems are always recommended.
