About this dive site

This dive site, known as Bruce Higgins Underwater Trails, is a protected marine preserve located in Edmonds, Washington. Established 50 years ago, it’s a popular destination for divers seeking encounters with some of the largest fish species found in the Salish Sea. The entry point is a sandy beach leading to a surface swim of approximately 100 meters. Due to the considerable distance from shore and the relatively shallow depths (ranging from 30 to 45 feet), divers typically plan for a single, longer dive rather than multiple shorter ones. Be mindful of potential currents – always check tide charts before planning your visit. The area offers a diverse underwater ecosystem including large Cabezon fish, Lingcod, various nudibranch species, crabs, sunstars, anemones, and a variety of rockfish.
