This dive site is located at 28201 Redondo Beach Dr S, Des Moines, WA 98198. It offers a unique diving experience with two distinct lines – one shallow and one deeper. The area features numerous structures covered in marine life, creating an engaging environment for divers. A staircase leads down to a sandy beach and a short swim to reach the dive area. Divers can expect to encounter a variety of fascinating creatures, including copper rockfish, cabezons, Buffalo sculpin, Giant Pacific Octopus, crabs, perch, Tube snouts, Red octopus, Stubby squid, and Pacific spiny lumpsucker. Night dives provide opportunities to observe these species in a different light, adding an extra layer of excitement. The site is accessible with bathrooms provided near the fishing pier, including a rinse shower (though closed during winter). Parking is available on street or at a nearby pay lot. Plan accordingly as currents may be present and checking tide charts is recommended.
