About this dive site
This dive site comprises three wrecks located in Southern Florida, offering a remarkable underwater spectacle. The primary attraction is the abundance of large marine animals. The Zion Train, a listing freighter with a broken bow, hosts impressive Goliath groupers that often congregate in large numbers – sometimes up to seven individuals – especially during late summer. Divers can approach these fish closely due to the wreck’s open structure. Adjacent to the Zion Train lies a concrete beam pile, which serves as a viewing area for Lemon sharks during January and February; two dozen of these sharks are frequently observed circling this location. North of the Zion Train is the Miss Jenny, an upside-down barge also home to Goliath, Gag, and Black groupers. A 340-degree course from the Miss Jenny leads to the Esso Bonaire, the largest wreck, resting upright at approximately 90 feet with accessible holds and a safely penetrated cabin stern. Spotted Eagle rays and Cobia occasionally visit these wrecks, providing an added element of surprise. The ascent offers a final opportunity to witness this incredible underwater ecosystem. Visibility is excellent in these waters.
