About this dive site

Located at the tip of the Pango Peninsula, The Cathedral is an amazing and delightful cavern dive. The entry to the wide, open cavern is at 22 meters, leading into a chamber where stately shafts of sunlight filter down through the open roof, creating a magical, church-like effect. Divers can swim through the cavern and ascend through a 'chimney' to a large, hidden pool on the surface inside the reef before returning to the outer wall. The site is home to many species of shrimp, nudibranchs, and leaf scorpionfish. While generally a comfortable dive, swells and currents can make conditions tricky, so the dive is often weather-dependent.
