About this dive site
This dive site offers a relaxed shore diving experience suitable for divers of all levels, from novices to advanced. Located at Bachman’s Beach, it features a gentle slope with rocky and sandy bottoms interspersed with grassy areas and silt patches. The entry is easy and the area provides protection from strong currents. Visibility typically ranges between 20 and 40 feet (6-12 meters) depending on weather conditions. You'll find a variety of marine life, including crabs, lobster, flounder, minnows, and micro shrimp dwelling in clam holes. Scattered bottles – both old and new – add an interesting element to the underwater landscape. The bottom depth generally extends up to 45 feet (13.72 meters), though deeper exploration is possible beyond the cove's sheltered area. Note that there are no facilities available at the beach; it’s a great spot for picnics or small barbecues. Remember to prioritize buoyancy and maintain awareness of boat traffic, as recreational boating occurs in this vicinity. Please practice good buoyancy control due to the prevalent silt on the seabed. It is recommended to use a float when diving to alert boaters. Parking and trash receptacles are readily accessible.
