About this dive site

This dive site is located in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia. It offers a variety of diving experiences for divers of different levels, although it's best suited for those with some experience due to the hike and potentially challenging currents. The cove features a vertical wall descending from 15 feet (4.5 meters) to approximately 40 feet (12 meters), creating an interesting exploration opportunity. The seabed is primarily composed of coarse sand, scattered with sand dollars, crabs, and lobsters – providing opportunities for marine life encounters. A significant wreck, located around 25 feet (7.6 meters) deep, lies halfway between the entry point and the southern island; however, it’s heavily deteriorated due to weather and ocean activity, offering only remnants of its original form. Access involves a considerable hike, approximately .4 kilometers to the foundations followed by an additional 500 feet (152 meters) to the water's edge. Visibility can vary greatly depending on weather conditions – rain runoff, wind, and waves all play a role. During slack high tide, improved visibility of 30-40 feet (9-12 meters) is often possible. Parking facilities are limited to a small lot nearby. There are no restroom facilities available onsite.
