About this dive site
This dive site is located at Terence Bay Wharf, offering an accessible and interesting experience for both novice and experienced divers. The site features a working wharf with lobster trap storage areas, creating a unique environment amidst kelp formations and rock ledges. Divers can explore various points of interest on a single dive, including the shallower right side of the site. The bottom consists primarily of rocky terrain transitioning to silt. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 40 feet (4.5 to 12 meters), though it can be influenced by weather conditions such as rain and wind. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter nudibranchs, lobsters, cunner fish, and other local marine life. Due to the wharf’s operation, parking is restricted to designated areas away from lobster traps. There are no restroom facilities available at the site; restaurants and a convenience store are nearby. Entry options include a giant stride off the wharf end or climbing over boulders, while exiting can be done via ladders along the wharf or by climbing back over the boulders. Check our Marine Life page for more details on local fish species.
