About this dive site
This dive site offers a sheltered shore diving experience suitable for both novice and experienced divers. Located in a small inlet, it’s protected from wind and waves, creating a calm environment. The area is rich with natural features including extensive kelp formations, rock ledges, and debris like discarded fishing gear—gloves, bottles, etc.—scattered along the wharf. Navigation is straightforward, allowing divers to explore several points of interest on a single dive. Key landmarks include the wharf pilings, a mooring buoy 45.7 meters (149.96 feet) from the entry point, and a rock wall extending along the shoreline. A marker buoy is situated 73 meters (238.87 feet) from the entry/exit point. The bottom varies between silt slopes with kelp and sandy areas with small rocks, reaching a maximum depth of 9.5 to 10.4 meters (31 to 34 feet). Visibility typically ranges from 9 to 12 meters (30 to 39 feet), potentially improving during slack high tide. While fish activity is common during summer and fall, divers may encounter marine life throughout the year.
