Fort Frederic

This dive site, Fort Frederic, is a vibrant coral reef located a convenient 15-minute boat ride from Uppuveli Beach in Sri Lanka. As a relatively shallow site with a maximum depth of 18 meters and an average of 9 meters, it serves as an excellent progression for divers who have recently completed their Open Water course, allowing them to comfortably gain experience with depth. The best time to visit Fort Frederic for optimal diving conditions is typically during the dry season for Sri Lanka's east coast, from April to September, when sea conditions are calmer and visibility tends to be at its best.
