About this dive site

This dive site, located a short boat ride of approximately 10 minutes from Nilaveli Beach, offers a rewarding experience for divers of various skill levels. The descent begins at a modest 5 meters, starting from the top of the rocks, gradually sloping down to around 15 meters depth. The average depth is roughly 13-15 meters, with a maximum depth of 18 meters found on the edge of the reef. Sithanane Pare is characterized by a diverse underwater landscape featuring both soft and hard coral formations. This site provides opportunities to encounter a rich array of marine life including scorpionfish, lionfish, Christmas tree worms, anemone fish, various species of moray eels, barracuda, snappers, parrot fish, and numerous schools of smaller fish. The area is known for its interesting dive conditions suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. It’s considered one of the premier diving locations in this region.
