Welluore Rock

This dive site is located just off Nilaveli Beach, offering a diverse underwater experience. The area features both soft and hard corals – including whip coral, table coral, anemone soft corals, and sun coral – creating a vibrant reef ecosystem. Divers can encounter a variety of tropical fish, such as moorish idols, scorpionfish, lionfish, sweetlips, and smaller critters like nudibranchs, feather stars, and shrimp. Stingrays are often spotted, and turtles frequently visit this location. Welluore Rock provides an excellent opportunity for divers of all levels, from beginners to advanced enthusiasts interested in macro marine life. The maximum depth is 11 meters, with an average depth around 8-9 meters.
